Public Session Minutes

The School Board came out of non-public session at 9:50PM. The three members present from the Building Committee discussed some concerns. A meeting with Anne Dodd at Harvey was proposed for 4:00PM on Thursday, September 28, 2006.

Committee members want to look at plans, have concerns with the architect and confidence issues.

The committee wants to discuss Option A and Option B

There are concerns with the quality of the product.

They want to check on ICC questions.

They feel that Anne has read every spec and is very knowledgeable on the project.

Mike stated, “What other opportunities exist?” “What if we want to start over?”

Bernie stated, “ We need to feel good with the present design.” A memo was sent by the committee last February on DD.

Mike said. “ Want to know what is or is not included.”

AIA has a standard for DD.

Mike said, “ It is not a good idea to micromanage- no tinkering”

Bernie said, “ We have not challenged their design.”

Mike said, “ They do not want to slow the schedule.”

“ Challenged TDI a year ago and were blown off.”

Bernie said, “Want to ask point blank questions to Harvey.”

“ Question is TDI. What is the state and quality of this product.

“Want to do what is in our best interest.”

Dan said, “ Harvey’s fee is the fee as long as we stay on schedule.”

The group does not have a comfort level with the design.

Mike would like input from the President of Harvey on this project. Mike feels that he will steer us in the right direction.

The proposed meeting at Harvey on Thursday will have to be changed because only Mike can be at Harvey at 4:00PM. Bruce will contact Anne to reschedule. Bev will also attend this meeting. As soon as the time and date are known the SAU will post the meeting.

The public meeting with the Building Committee ended at 10:25PM. The Board then went into non-public as recorded in a separate document.
