Windham School District Strategic Planning The Windham School District recognizes that the public schools are at
the heart of the community and therefore the schools should reflect the
core values and mutual challenges of the Windham community.
In order to ensure continual improvement and a close connection between
the school district and other town organizations and community
stakeholders, the Windham School Board has agreed to engage in a formal
community-based Strategic Planning Process through the formation of the
Windham School District Strategic Planning Steering Committee. This
volunteer committee will be tasked to identify stakeholders and
stakeholder groups within the community, collect information and data
from identified stakeholder groups, and use that information to
collaboratively refine the Core Values, Mission, and Vision of the
Windham School District. The committee will report progress and results
to the School Board and the community for consideration and approval.
The information obtained and synthesized by the Windham School District
Strategic Planning Steering Committee will serve as a guide for the
School District as priorities and goals are set in the years to come.
The Windham School District is most appreciative of the efforts of all
citizens who will serve on the Strategic Planning Steering Committee
and extends thanks, in advance, to those members of the community who
will provide the input and information necessary for the public schools
to stay 'in tune' with the needs, goals and aspirations of the Windham
community.
The Strategic Planning Process will be facilitated by Dr. George Ladd
of Boston College and the Data Analysis and Strategic Planning Process.
