Windham School Board Goals
Planning:
To guide the direction of the schools for future growth and needs.
1. To complete a vision for the School Board for future planning.
2. Complete the Windham School District Master Facilities Plan (K-12 planning)
3. Work with the Town in strategic planning for the future.
4. Work with the Teacher Assistants’ union to complete a contract.
Policy:
To keep policies up to date.
1. Continue a process of district policy review.
2. Update policies needed for Windham High School opening.
Facilities and Grounds:
To complete a facilities plan for future building needs for the voters.
1. To successfully open Windham High school by August 2009.
2. Complete the Windham School District Master Plan and continue to plan for GBS.
3. Plan for Windham High School’s track and gym.
Curriculum & Programs:
To approve curricula and programs that are commensurate with our plans.
Focus on: 1.Technology Program for WHS: digital learning environment
2. Arts: ( further refinement needed)
3. Kindergarten
Finances:
To develop and maintain a budget to deliver the education needed to Windham students .
1. To open Windham High School on time.
2. To identify what will be in the default budget.
3. To identify other revenue streams to benefit our financial resources.
