August 2010

Welcome to Seventh Grade!

The seventh grade teachers would like to welcome you to seventh grade.  We look forward to an exciting year with you.  We are eager to get to know you and work with you for a successful year.  Whether you are working on cell models in science, book reports in reading or the Greek project in social studies the key to being successful is to keep organized and complete work as assigned.

You should find the organization a little easier this year as we are going to a five day schedule instead of the previous six day schedule.  There will be four block days so it will be easier if you complete homework the night it is given instead of doing homework every other night.  It will be important that you start projects when they are assigned rather than waiting and starting right before they are due.

Some events we are looking forward to this year are our trip to the Browne Center at UNH and our Medieval Banquet.  The Browne Center trip is planned for September (before it gets too cold) and you will soon be receiving information about that.  Our Medieval Banquet is later in the year and will be the culmination of the social studies unit on that time period.

Your success this year is totally up to you!  We encourage students to ask questions in class and come for extra help as needed.  We want all of you to have a great year and we will work with you to make that happen. Please talk to one of us if you have any questions or concerns as the year progresses.

We look forward to seeing you all on September 1 !!!!
