Parent Moodle Information
Moodle, a Course Management System (CMS), will replace Teacher Web at Windham Middle School in the 2009–2010 school year. Moodle provides many additional tools and capabilities that will be used by teachers and students. Many teachers have already switched over from TeacherWeb to Moodle, and all students/parents/guardians should access those Moodle accounts for homework assignments, course documents/news, etc. All Moodle sites will be ready by June 1st. Since Moodle runs more efficiently on Firefox (a free alternative Internet browser), it is suggested that you go to firefox.com and download and install Firefox before logging on to Moodle.
The Windham District Moodle website can be found at http://moodle.windhamsd.org. AS the teachers switch over to Moodle, we will be changing the links so that there is a link to the teachers Moodle page, instead of Teacher Web, from The District Web site. - Scroll down to Windham Middle School, and then to your child's grade.
- Choose your child's team. This will give you the link to enter your child's team of teachers.
- Click on the class you want to enter.
- Click on the "login as a guest" button. You will be prompted to enter an enrollment key* in order to access the course content. *The enrollment keys are case sensitive.
This year you will receive the enrollments from the small teams or individual teachers. You will receive all the enrollment keys for your child's classes for next year during the summer. If you are interested in any of the Extra-Curricular activities, most of them do not require any enrollment keys. You simply need to click on the login as a guest button.
