This year, we are continuing our commitment to the previously set district goals and initiatives to secure a solid foundation for the district’s future. I am excited to continue the work toward acquiring district-wide NEASC accreditation. We are proud to be the first New Hampshire school district seeking district-wide NEASC accreditation. Our goal for this year is for Windham High School to complete a formal self-reflection and prepare for the collaborative conference visit in 2024.
In October, we welcomed the NEASC Committee to Windham High School for their
Collaborative Conference this week. The purpose of the Collaborative Conference visit is for NEASC to gather
information about the current conditions of our school. While they were here, we collaboratively reviewed and refined the
school’s Self-Reflection findings and identified priority areas for growth and improvement. Also during their two-day
visit, the committee met with building-level leaders, curriculum directors, district-based leaders, teachers, parents, and
students. We want to thank our internal NEASC planning committee, Dr. Wendy Jack, Nancy Milligan, Shannan
McKenna, and the high school steering committee Jess Carleton, Deb Morin, Kristen Miller, Graham DeRousse, and Sue
Cobb who were instrumental in the preparation and execution of this successful visit.
Windham Middle School, Windham Center School, and Golden Brook Elementary School are projected to implement the priority areas of growth within each school and host the Collaborative Conference in the future. Thank you to our leaders and staff for their hard work and effort to plan and prepare for this phenomenal district-wide recognition.
